Description

Eggs on toast is a quick and easy breakfast packed with protein and very healthy. While a very simple dish, eggs on toast is one of the most versatile dishes and can be altered to your personal preference.

There are many ways to cook the eggs for eggs on toast, from scrambled to poached to boiled and each way will alter the tast of the dish. This recipe will follow my favourite way to cook eggs on toast, however feel free to alter it to your liking.

  1. First toast the slices of sour dough bread, you can do this in a toaster or in the pan.
  2. Cut the amount of avocado you would like off the avacado and spread onto the toast, the image at the top of the page is a good reference of how it should look.
  3. Crack 3 eggs into a bowl.
  4. Place butter in hot pan and allow to melt.
  5. Add eggs into pan and mix eggs until fully mixed through, if eggs are cooking too fast remove from heat.
  6. Add salt and pepper to mixed eggs and mix again, keep mixing until eggs are cooked to liking.
  7. Remove eggs from pan and place atop slices of bread.
  8. Season with chilli flakes and italian herb mix, you can add more salt and pepper if it is not to your liking or if you did not add salt and pepper in the pan.
